Ronald Oertel received his Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2007. His research interests lie in the economics of education, labor, and health. Currently, he is analyzing adults' schooling choices and the effect of government policies on these choices. His teaching interests include microeconomics, labor economics, econometrics, and macroeconomics. Prior to joining Western in the fall of 2007, he taught labor economics as well as intermediate micro- and macroeconomics at the University of North Carolina. |
